BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING: Tuesday, June 20, 2023 @ 7:30 pm Long Valley Middle School - Performing Arts Center.
We clapped out our 5th graders as they took a final walk through Kossmann, then Flocktown, and down the buswalk. We wish well at LVMS and beyond this enjoyable, bright, kind, and lively group. We are very proud of you and you will be missed! Congratulations to them, their families, the 5th grade team, and of course all of their past teachers for having them ready for the challenges that lie ahead. Once a Wolf, always a Wolf!
Sidewalk messages to our 5th graders on their last day as Wolves.
On Tuesday our 5th graders enjoyed one last FKS event at the Celebration Luau in their honor. Many thanks to our PTA, 5th grade families, and 5th grade teachers for supporting this event.
Happy Summer! We hope that all of our LVMS students, families, and staff have a safe, relaxing, and great Summer!
Old Farmers Road School said goodbye to our retirees, Mrs. Dickinson and Mrs. Braithwaite and waved good bye to some of our staff who are transferring to other buildings and our Grade 5 Class! Have a wonderful summer!
All Students in grades 5-7 brought home their Chromebooks, protective cases & chargers to use for academic purposes over the summer! Please refer to the Summer Chromebook Expectations sheet that was sent via email as well as pictured below for more information. Students should bring their Chromebook back on the first day next year, charged & ready to go!

Bowser visits a first grade PE class. It turns out he is very athletic! What a fun prize that was raffled off at the Carnival!
A special thank you to all of our 8th Grade Dance Planning Committee Members and Volunteers. We couldn't have done it without you!
The FKS PTA Spring Carnival was a huge success! What a great way to end a school year of events that enhance our educational program and bring our community together. We can't thank enough all of those who volunteer their time and energy to ensure our children have memorable events and experiences like this. Thank you!
We held the last of our Buddy Lunches Friday as Kossmann students went up to Flocktown to have lunch with their buddy class. The second and fifth grade classes made some sidewalk chalk art when they finished eating. Thanks Mrs. Rooney for the idea! Many thanks to our custodial and food services teams, our lunch supervisors and aides, and our teachers for making it happen. It's a crazy day, but our Wolves love it!
On Thursday grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 attended an assembly at Flocktown tailored to their age groups by the high energy Lead U Empower Hour Team. They led students through topics on regulating emotions, social conflict, making good decisions, solving problems, being thoughtful of others, and being a leader. Many thanks to our hard working PTA for bringing us this enjoyable and meaningful program.
Thursday evening's performance of our band and strings was outstanding! Congratulations to our 5th graders and Mrs. Fessenden.
Our 5th grade strings and band put on a wonderful performance this morning, hoping to be able to perform this evening. We'll try again tomorrow night.
When you do attend, be sure to view the artwork and take home your child's ceramic project. We look forward to seeing you and hearing our performers tomorrow night.
We'll see all of our 5th grade families for Celebration of Learning on Monday, 6/12, when those not in band/strings can take home their ceramic piece.
The OFRS Field Day was a blast this year!!! A special thank you to the Ms. Ressland and the PTO for the planning and volunteer work. Students had a great time, especially in the games that involved getting drenched in water! 💦💦💦
