Second-grade students played math games during center time on Friday. The students cooperatively worked on mastering their addition and subtraction math facts (with numbers 0 to 20) and understanding place value (ones, tens, and hundreds). Great job, second-graders!


Mr. Pickrell's 6th Grade Science class completed the Rock Cycle Lab by using chocolate chips to learn what constructive and deconstructive forces transform the Earth's surface.



Fourth-grade students enjoyed learning about series and parallel circuits with Mr. Donovan this week! Mr. Donovan engaged the students with numerous real-world examples and questions. There was great discussion. Way to go, fourth-grade scientists!

Mr. Richard Guerry of IROC2 shared essentials of his book "Permanent and Public" with FKS 4th & 5th graders to make students mindful of protecting themselves from making life altering mistakes online or with any digital technology as citizens of a rapidly evolving digital village. Students were encouraged to keep their risks lows, be their best selves online, and create a history of themselves online that their children one day would be proud of. Their mindfulness online will make all of the difference.

FKS third, fourth, and fifth graders were fortunate to have the experience of seeing the Young Audiences production of "A Seat for Rosa" this morning, provided by our generous and hard working PTA. Students learned of the story of Rosa Parks and having the courage to be an upstander. It was a wonderful production with a timeless message told in an engaging story.








For their Valentine's Day activity Ms. Yakimec's class decorated birthday bags, created cards, and stuffed the bags with cake mix, icing, and candles donated by the families of the class. The bags will be donated to the local food pantry on Monday.

During 100th Day of School STREAM time in first grade, students work with a partner to make a creation using 100 objects of their choosing. 👷🏽♂️👷🏾♀️



On Valentine's Day, second grade participates in "Read Your Heart Out". What a wonderful way to show their 💗LOVE💗 of reading! 📚




Attention 6th Grade Students! Join us on Friday, March 1st for a 6th Grade Western Dance from 7-9pm at LVMS hosted by the LVMS Student Council. Tickets will be on sale beginning the week of 2/26 during lunch periods for $10 per student. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
