
Many thanks to our Second Grade team of teachers for planning and facilitating a successful Colonial Day! Many thanks also to our second grade parents, who packed the classrooms for student presentations on aspects of Colonial Life and participated in activities of Colonial-era children.

Congratulations 5th graders and Mrs. Fessenden on your beautiful performance this evening! The program featured songs in 5 languages, bringing us the spirit of the holiday and winter seasons. We are so proud of all of you!



Our 5th graders performed their Holiday Choral program for their second, third, and fourth grade peers this morning in a dress rehearsal before their performance this evening. They were terrific!





6th Grade Math Students created giant sized ratio tables to describe the relationship between two quantities.


Grade 2 & Pre-K students read "The Gingerbread Girl" and used engineer design to create a gingerbread village complete with sturdy milk cartons for the houses and community buildings such as fire/police station, doctors office, banks, and shops made from cardboard boxes. 🍬🏠🍭





Grade 4 Presents - The Great Mars Debate! Will humans live on Mars in the future? Students did an impressive amount of research and presented their opinions and findings to a third grade class. Audience members were able to weigh in on which side was most convincing. 🚀🌌☄🛰



OFRS enjoyed a performance by Bright Star Touring Theatre, Old McDonald's Down-Home Holiday. Students in Pre-K - 1st grade sang winter classics while also considering the importance of sharing with and caring for others during the holiday season. 🐄🐷🎸👩🏻🌾🎄🕎

BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING: Tuesday, December 12, 2023 @ 7:30 pm Long Valley Middle School - Performing Arts Center.

Last week 8th grade LVMS band students performed holiday music at the ShopRite in Mansfield. Local shoppers enjoyed the music of the holiday season while the shopped.




During the month of December, art work from each WTS elementary school is on display at the WT Free Public Library. Here are a few photos of FKS student pieces on display. When you are there, be sure to enjoy the creativity and skill of our students under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Hemberger and Mrs. Bruno.





Today's dress rehearsal was a success as our Theater Week performers held an assembly for their peers this afternoon. Second graders went up to Flocktown for the performance. Our thespian Wolves are ready for this evening's performance for families. Many thanks to the FKS PTA for providing this opportunity for our students and to the parent volunteers who made it all work this week.

Last week the LVMS Student Council hosted a Cornhole Tournament and Social for all grade levels. The Student Council is looking to plan more social events in 2024!
