
Last week Mrs. LeViere reviewed some First Aid skills with our 7th Grade students. Mrs. LeViere focused on what students could do in an emergency situation and discussed life saving skills, like how an AED can help someone who is experiencing a cardiac emergency.


Old Farmers Road School kicked off Wellness Week with an assembly, hosted by the OFRS PTO. The school mascot, Bowser joined us to demonstrate to the students how to stay healthy.






The week of February 5th is Wellness Week at OFRS! We will be learning how to take care of our bodies and minds. There will be plenty of fun-filled activities throughout the week!

At Old Farmers Road School, the fifth grade has been raising trout from the egg stage. They are testing the water, feeding the fish, and cleaning the tank, as part of their Living Systems Science Unit.




Today 4th and 5th grade had the opportunity to attend the "Public and Permanent" Online Safety Assembly. What eye-opening information!!! Don't miss tonight's presentation for families at the middle school.

The LVMS Forensics team competed at the Ridge Tournament this weekend! Olivia Heydorn placed 4th overall in Interpretation with Nicholas Amoroso and Lukas Cioccia placing in the semi-finals. Honorable mention to the rest of the team; Griffin Veletto, Stephanie Davila, Aliana Sudol, Madden Heydorn, Chloe DeSouza and Lily DeSouza.


1st Grade Explores Sphero Indi Robotic Cars- In their first lesson, students needed to plan and draw a path to drive Indi in a straight line. In their second lesson, students add additional tiles to drive Indi in a square around their classmate.

The National Junior Honor Society raised money and made a special donation to children at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. Students were able to send 21 Care Bears to pediatric patients this past week.

6th Graders in Mrs. Carkitto's cooking club have been enjoying making different dishes after school. This week students made potato latkes and fresh apple sauce from scratch.




Due to the forecast of freezing road conditions this evening and out of an abundance of caution, Washington Township Schools will have a delayed opening tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 to ensure roads are safe for travel.

Due to dangerous road conditions which are not likely to improve quickly, Washington Township Schools will be closed today, Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Due to the weather conditions expected overnight, district schools will operate on a 2 hour delayed opening schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
