Thank you LVMS Student Council for hosting a GREAT Halloween Dance!
Halloween 2023 at FKS! We had a great time parading the grounds in our costumes this afternoon. Many thanks to our office and custodial staffs, Mrs. Fessenden for the music, homeroom parents, our teachers and staff, and of course our families for making it the safe and enjoyable event it was. Happy Halloween!
Thank you to Lt. Bratus from the Washington Township Police Department for speaking with our 8th graders yesterday on drug use prevention for Red Ribbon Week.
The trout eggs have arrived! Fifth graders welcomed our visitors from The Pequest Trout Hatchery and we placed our eggs in their new habitat. Many have already hatched and we will soon begin to feed them. The whole school is excited to follow along with our learning journey. 🐡
This week, our Wolves participated in community building through personal wellness activities led by Sue Murphy.
The trout eggs arrived today from the Pequest Hatchery, delivered by Trout Unlimited, a national organization that brings trout eggs to schools for the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) project. TIC is a NJDEP Fish and Wildlife program that teaches the importance of cold water conservation. The delivery gentlemen and their precious cargo were received to cheers and song. Many thanks to the 5th grade team and TIC advisors Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Rooney. Students later looked at the unviable eggs with the microscope. We look forward to helping our trout grow strong for their release in May.
Mayor Matt Murello visited grade two students in response to their letter asking him to speak about Community and Government and his role as the town's mayor. What a great experience for all involved! ✉ 🗣👏🏻
This week is Penny Wars during all lunch periods. By the entrance to the MPR (S. Gym / Cafeteria) each House has its own collection jar. The goal is to have the most points for your house to win Spirit Points. All coins are worth awarded points in your house jar. Any bills are subtracted points. Good Luck!
It's Red Ribbon Week! Recognized nationally, Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, smoking, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign. This week will be a Spirit Week at LVMS with events each day to promote drug use prevention.
Last week, Mrs. Sokol , our School Counselor, led our Wolves at Kossmann in an assembly talking with students about how to earn Pawbucks, how to pay them forward to our two charities, and what we are looking for in our Wolf Leaders. The Flocktown assembly will take place this week.
The FKS PTA Fun Run 2023 was a complete success! Many thanks to the PTA Fun Run Committee and volunteers for making it happen. We also thank all of the donors who supported their efforts and our school.

At OFRS we love volunteers! We had a special family guest visit to read a story in Spanish to a second grade class. She traveled to us from Honduras and taught us many new Spanish words! 📖

Our first grade Wolves learned about fire safety and had a tour of the fire truck this morning. Many thanks to the Schooley's Mountain Fire Protection Association - especially former FKS students Firefighters Spencer Drozdowski and Kyle Wagner - who along with Firefighter David Cooke brought us this program.
