Dear LVMS Parents:
We are off to a fantastic start at the Long Valley Middle School. Mr. Mirabella and I are looking forward to meeting with all of the students this week for their Fall Orientation, and we’re happy to see our 6th Grade students have already settled into their routines and class schedules.
Likewise, we are happy to welcome our parents to LVMS for our annual Back to School Night. On Tuesday, September 17th at 6:00 PM, we’ll host parents from all grades for our Back to School Night. This evening is designed to give parents an opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and hear brief overviews of our educational programs. Due to the brevity of these presentations, questions of a personal nature are better discussed at a pre-arranged teacher conference. Prior to attending Back to School Night, we are reminding every parent to access the OnCourse Portal to look up the homeroom teacher and classroom number for their child(ren). Parents will begin their classroom visits with homeroom teachers, where they’ll receive copies of their child’s schedule to follow throughout the evening, and general information about our school.
In addition to meeting your child’s teachers, our LVMS PTA will be selling spirit wear in our front lobby, as well as sharing some of their goals and plans for the 2024-25 School Year. We are excited for the opportunities, support, and partnership we have with our PTA, and I encourage each of you to join and be an active participant in your child’s education.
I look forward to welcoming you to a new and exciting school year. You’ll find the schedule for the evening in the following pages. Our Custodial and Maintenance teams will be on hand to assist with parking needs. Please note some parking will take place on school fields to accommodate vehicle traffic.
