FKS 5th graders participated in team building and outdoor adventure activities on their field trip to Camp Bernie this week. It was a perfect weather day and a great way to start the school year. Many thanks to Mrs. Lindert for organizing the trip, the Camp Bernie staff, and our parent chaperones.

1st Day Success! Many thanks to our students, faculty, and staff for a great first day. Between the weather and how smoothly everything went, we could not ask for a better day.

Happy First Day of School! We are off to a great start. So happy to have our Wolves back!

Our faculty and staff enjoy lunch together before the start of what is sure to be an amazing school year.

FKS was excited this afternoon to see our 2nd and 3rd graders, and their families, for the annual Welcome Back the Pack Walkthrough to meet their new teacher. Thank you teachers for having everything ready on your first day back. Again, many thanks to our PTA and the volunteer sundae artists for making the day a little extra special. It was great to see our Wolves!
We'll see our Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, 4th, 5th grade and STARS Wolves on Wednesday at 1:15. There is still plenty of ice cream left!

We welcomed our preschoolers, kindergartners, new students and their families for Bus Safety Orientation last week. Thank you to our outstanding transportation department and our bus drivers for this enjoyable program. Many thanks also to our PTA for providing a refreshing treat after returning from their ride.

Happy August, Wolves! As we head into the dog days of summer, it's time to start thinking about getting ready for a new school year. Maybe go to the library and get some good books, take a few notes or draw some pictures of what you see and hear when you're outdoors, journal some thoughts on the events of your summer, and start taking notice of all of the numbers that you encounter in every day life - such as the number of days until your first day of school (31 from today)!
We are getting ready to have you back on September 1st!

The Flocktown Kossmann offices are closed today, July 1. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend. Happy 4th of July!
