
In honor of National Read Across America Day, students from Mr. Katzoff's 7th grade ELA classes had a Meet with Mrs. Paolella's class at Cucinella to discuss the stories from her classes and the literary analysis of those stories. 7th graders also created illustrated covers in addition to sharing their favorite parts of the story. It was a great event for all involved!


The Washington Twp. Recreation Dept. and LVMS students are hosting a Free Adult Technology Assistance Workshop on Tuesday, April 4th. Join some of our students in learning how to better use your cell phone, tablet, or other personal technology devices!

Help us Celebrate NJ STEM Month at this fun, interactive event which will include STEM activities, a showcase of classroom STEM projects and the StarLab, a portable planetarium experience! We are so proud of our students and the hard work they put into preparing and performing this year’s “Theatre Week” production of OLIVER TWIST! Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring this exciting event. It is quite amazing to see how polished it was with only 7.5 hours of practice!!! Great job to all who were involved!





Law Enforcement Appreciation Day- We just wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank the efforts of the Washington Township Police Department! We are so grateful to have an amazing department that values the idea of community and building relationships. We appreciate everything you do to keep us safe! Today our first graders participated in a STEM challenge using Sphero robots. Led by their teachers and Mr. Dauchert, the students had to brainstorm how to make their cars travel the farthest with the resources available to them. Great job future engineers!





Where’s the Gingerbread Man? Our preschoolers participated in a scavenger hunt around Cucinella to find the Gingerbread Man hiding in Mr. Perruso’s office. Thank you to our preschool teachers for organizing such a fun event for our little ones!




The 5th Grade Vocal Music Performance was a hit! Our 5th graders treated the whole school to a vocal music performance which was enjoyed by all. Thank you to Mrs. Postigo for organizing this wonderful event and we also want to thank Mr. Yakimec for providing the background accompaniment!





On Thursday, our Third through Fifth grade students had an assembly with author Timothy Rohrer. Mr. Rohrer spoke to the students about what it was like to grow up with autism and shared stories of how people helped him feel welcomed and included while going through school. On Tuesday, we were joined by author Shanna Truffini who spoke with our PreK through Second grade students. Her program "You Are A Gardner" is based on her children's book which talks about how to find positive and healthy ways to manage life’s everyday stress, uncomfortable feelings, and emotions. On Friday, the second grade celebrated Colonial Day. They dressed up in colonial costumes and participated in numerous Colonial activities including making ragdolls, beaded necklaces, hand churned butter, and decorative tins. It was a great day for all! Thank you to our second grade teachers, Mrs. Plumbo, Mrs. Mackenzie, Mrs. Molkenthin, Mrs. Ruppert, and Mrs. Tedona for organizing the event!





Mr Jones, our district stem coach, visited the classrooms of
Mrs. Cross, Mrs. Karpi, Mrs. VanHouten, and Mrs Leonard. He shared
with the students his experience at the NASA Space Camp where he
trained as an astronaut. Mr. Jones also connected the activities he
had to complete to the Engineering by Design Process. The students
were engaged and impressed with his experiences! Mr Jones ended his
presentation be emphasizing “It’s all about what you DO that matters!”
