In fourth grade, students use benchmark fractions like 1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, and 3/4 to help them make decisions about rounding. By comparing a fraction to these benchmarks, they can determine whether a number is closer to 0, 1/2, or 1, making estimation more efficient!

Thank you Dr. Marangon for giving an awesome presentation about Australia to our 3rd graders for their cultures and communties unit. We loved your fun facts, photos and stories!

Congratulations to LVMS 7th Grader Penelope Draghi! Penelope auditioned for the North Jersey Junior Region Choir on Saturday, February 8th, and not only was she accepted into the Treble Choir, but she also placed 4th out of 60 students auditioning for a Soprano 1 part! This is an incredible achievement, and it’s not her first—Penelope was also recently a member of the Morris Area Honor Choir!

Students, Staff and Parents loved our 100th day activities!!! #GoWolves

Happy 100th Day of School! The kids at BAC participated in numerous activities . Many classes partnered up, many classes made fun hats, etc. Second grade did "100 Minutes of Centers." The kids stacked 100 cups, made crowns, and saw all they could do in 100 seconds!

This week at OFRS we participated in Wellness Week with a variety of activities with the help of our PTO. Today Bowser visited during recesses and the students did dance movements. During lunches, our local farmer Nicole Ort gave a presentation on the importance of fruits and vegetables in our diet.

We are so thankful for our PTO who fufill teacher grants in order to best support and instruct our students. Pictured here are students with their new stand up desks which lead to increased engagement and better academic performance compared to sitting for extended periods.

Due to the weather and road conditions, District Schools will be closed today, Thursday, February 6, 2025.
