Introducing Indi!
Across the district students have enjoyed the experience of hands-on learning and problem solving, utilizing the Sphero Indi robot and color tiles. Over the course of several weeks, kindergarten students participated in a series of lessons that invited them to learn with Indi cars to plan, test, and reimagine solutions in order to get Indi to move in specific ways.
What it looks like:
Students are introduced to concepts of directionality and corresponding color tiles. They begin by using their brains and bodies to visualize and make concrete connections to space and movement.
Next, learners are invited to plan, test, and rework solutions as they discover through hands-on investigation in order to get Indi to move through a series of challenges progressing from a straight line to increasingly complex pathways including turns and zigzags.
