Washington Township Schools Awarded
1st Place in National Science League Contest
Students in grades 2-5 across Washington Township Schools recently participated in the National Science League contest under the direction of the Gifted and Talented teachers, Dana Castellana and Jason Manzella. The students answer multiple choice questions reflecting factual science-based knowledge as well as students’ understanding of scientific processes.
District grade-level winners were announced at each of the three elementary schools this spring. Contest winners received certificates, and first place winners received National Science League medals. In addition to the overall district winners, one outstanding grade level’s combined scores ranked Washington Township Schools at 1st Place Nationally! Congratulations go out to the following 3rd grade students: John Aussicker, Adrian Bankin, Leah Cox, Evan Dudzak, Benjamin Daily, Thomas Dougherty, Mustafa Ansari, Van Harbers, Boden Feltmann, and Alexander Regber. These top ten students comprise the Washington Township Schools Grade 3 Team. Congratulations to these young scientists and their teachers on a tremendous honor and accomplishment!
