About Mrs. Lind

Antonella Lind assumes the role of Superintendent of Washington Township Schools in Long Valley, New Jersey. She brings a dynamic blend of academic excellence and administrative expertise with an exemplary 18-year career in education and a proven track record of visionary leadership.

Antonella’s distinguished educational foundation includes graduating Summa cum Laude from Felician University with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and History. She earned two Master's degrees having maintained 4.0 GPAs, one in Early Childhood Special Education and Inclusion from Montclair State University and another in Educational Leadership from Felician University. Additionally, Antonella completed a Post-Master’s Superintendent Program from Caldwell University.

Throughout her tenure in educational leadership, most recently as Director of Student Services in the North Haledon School District, Antonella has established herself as a transformative leader, who orchestrates comprehensive educational initiatives, while fostering inclusive learning environments. Her strategic approach to educational leadership, demonstrated through data-driven decision-making and innovative program development, has yielded remarkable results. During her time as Acting Superintendent and Principal in North Haledon, High Mountain Middle School was ranked by US News and World Report's 2024 as Best Middle Schools.

Antonella brings a comprehensive understanding of educational excellence to the Washington Township Schools, drawing from her extensive background in curriculum development, special education, and student services. Her achievements include spearheading the implementation of a STEAM Lab, establishing Professional Learning Communities, prioritizing student voice and leadership opportunities, implementing educational and family-focused programs for students and families, supporting robust special education programs, and maintaining an open-door policy that encourages transparent communication and collaboration among students, staff, and families.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Antonella deeply values the importance of family. She has shared her personal growth and educational success with her biggest supporter, her husband John. Antonella and John recently celebrated 16 years of marriage and they are the proud parents of three children: Lucia Rosa, Benedetta Ava, and John Matthew. In her spare time, Antonella finds joy in cooking, spending quality time with family, immersing herself in books, and exploring new destinations through travel. Her dedication to both family and education reflects her holistic approach to leadership and her belief in creating a nurturing and collaborative educational environment.
